We are seeking enthusiastic, caring, and motivated individuals to join our Day Services team supporting adults with intellectual disabilities.

Working as part of a dedicated team, you will deliver person-centred supports that promote dignity, inclusion, wellbeing, and choice.
About the Role
Support Staff play a key role in the delivery of high-quality day services. You will support individuals in both centre-based and community settings, enabling participation in meaningful activities and promoting independence and social inclusion.
Depending on service requirements, the role may include direct support, personal care, and Key Worker responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Person-Centred Support & Daily Activities
Support individuals to participate in day services programmes, community activities, and social outings. Promote independence, choice, confidence, and meaningful engagement in line with person-centred plans.
Personal Care & Wellbeing
Provide personal care where required, ensuring dignity, privacy, and respect at all times. Support individuals’ health, wellbeing, and safety in line with organisational policies.
Inclusion & Community Participation
Encourage and support individuals to build relationships, develop skills, and participate actively in their local community.
Safeguarding & Practice Standards
Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding, health and safety, and risk management procedures at all times. Work in line with person-centred practice and organisational standards.
Teamwork & Collaboration
Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals. Participate in training, supervision, and team meetings as required.
Key Worker Responsibilities (where assigned)
Support and contribute to person-centred planning and goal setting
Assist individuals in achieving personal outcomes and life goals
Act as a point of contact for families and multidisciplinary teams when required Contribute to reviews, planning meetings, and service improvement
Support advocacy and ensure individuals’ voices are heard
Essential Requirements
QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support, Social Care, or related discipline (or working towards) Experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities (paid or voluntary) Understanding of person-centred practice and safeguarding
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Full clean driving licence Garda vetting required
Desirable Experience
Experience in day services or community-based supports Training in Manual Handling, First Aid, and Safeguarding Experience in community participation and inclusion work Key Worker or coordination experience
Person-centred planning or advocacy training Strong administration and record-keeping skills
